Gilmore girls #3 - like mother, like daughter
by Catherine Clark
based on Television series created by Amy Sherman-Palladino

pages: 154
Price: $5.99 (U.S.) / $7.99 (CAN)
Harper Entertainment TV Tie-In

ACTION:
Okay, let's face it. My mom and I are never going to have a "normal" mother-daughter relationship because my mom isn't just my mother, she's my best friend. She would do anything for me, including asking her parents for the tuition money to send me to Chilton, this prestigious prep school that just accepted me. That was probably one of the toughest things she's ever done, although agreeing to weekly dinners in exchange for the loan probably runs a close second. My mom's just miserable at the mere thought of this. But the way I look at it? -- I'd just say life is going to get a lot more interesting.

MY OPINION:
As you may see from the information at the top the novel is very flat with just 154 pages.
Corollary: The Action is described very briefly and more as a sum up of the tv series. Of course the novel just containes a part of the tv series beginning with Rory meeting Dean and her start at Chilton, an expensive private School.
What I also got to know after buying the book is that 'like mother like daughter' is not the first part of the gg-book series.

The language used is very easy to read.

CONCLUSION:
The novel is snacky light reading for gilmore Girls-fans. Especially after watching the tv-series, because the series is much more detailed. I would also recommend reading the book to improve your English skills.
Nevertheless the novel is an account or summary of the tv series and I would not say YOU HAVE TO READ IT, but it was still good.

2/5
